Caregiving is not something you can do alone. You must develop a team.

Let’s just be for real right this second. Caregiving is not easy. In no way, form, or fashion, will you be able to perform 24 hours a day in caring for your loved one. You will have to have help. You will have to have a team.

What do I mean by a team?

People who can give care to your loved one when you are not there. This can be paid help or unpaid help. It could be neighbors, friends, or relatives. It can even be nurses, doctors, therapists, etc.

Here is my tip for you:

Once you develop your team, you will always have to work on your team!

What do I mean by that?

Your family’s care level will change – and even your caregiver needs will change. Things always change! You will always have to have somebody – or some program in mind to step in incase your team changes. Think of it as a backup plan.

I repeat, you will always have to work on your team.
